Abbey Garber Hagerman, CPA
Managing Partner/Owner
Abbey has been in public accounting since 2009 and is a licensed CPA in the state of Wyoming.. She specializes in the government and not-for-profit industries. Abbey has participated in the annual financial statement and single audits of various municipalities, airport boards, special districts, not-for-profits and other state and local government entities.
Abbey began her career with the local accounting and auditing firm in Laramie, Wyoming, Mader Tschacher Peterson & Co, LLC. Abbey continued to work for the firm as is transitioned into a regional firm (ACM LLP) and then into the national firm, BDO USA, P.C. where she was the Director of the Laramie Assurance practice before forming ClingerHagerman in 2022.
In addition to her professional work, Abbey believes one of the best ways to make a difference is to volunteer your time and talents. As such, Abbey has been actively involved and is a Past President of the Wyoming Society of CPAs and just completed her three-year term as the Wyoming voting member of council for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She’s also currently President of the Laramie Girls Softball Association. When Abbey is not developing her professional career, she spends time with her husband, raising their three rambunctious children and attending the plethora of activities in which they partake. She loves good food, conversation, and crafting.
Micah Clinger, CPA
Partner/Owner
Micah has been in public accounting since 2007 and is a licensed CPA in the states of Wyoming, Colorado, Texas, and Oregon. He has worked primarily in the government, higher education, and not-for-profit sectors. Micah has participated in the annual financial statement and single audits of various municipalities, counties, universities, research organizations, not-for-profits, and other state and local government entities.
Micah spent much of his career at Moss Adams LLP where he served on the firm’s task force for single audits and the firm’s Government Services Technical Committee. Micah was an audit partner with McConnell & Jones where he helped lead the annual audits for the Government of the District of Columbia. Prior to the formation of ClingerHagerman, he served as an audit director at BDO USA, P.C. where he helped lead the annual financial statement audit and single audit for the City & County of Denver, Colorado.
Micah is graduate of the Leadership Laramie class of 2024-2025. He also serves on the board of Tele-hope, a not-for-profit organization that focuses on helping young people reach out and support one another in efforts to reduce isolation and prevent suicide. Micah is an avid sports fan so when he’s not at work you’ll find him watching his four kids in football, track and field, basketball and volleyball.
Randy Watkins, CPA
Partner
Randy is a seasoned assurance partner with over 25 years of experience in auditing and financial reporting. He is a licensed CPA in the states of Colorado and Wyoming. Throughout Randy’s career, he has provided specialized audit and consulting services to many Colorado municipalities, special districts, not-for-profits and other state and local government entities. Most recently, Randy joined ClingerHagerman after serving as assurance principals with BDO USA, ACM LLP, and Watkins & Schommer, Inc.
Throughout his career, Randy has held leadership roles in various professional and community organizations, including serving as Chair of the Board for the Colorado Society of CPAs and the United Way of Weld County. Randy is a volunteer reviewer with the GFOA’s Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting Program Special Review Committee (SRC). His commitment to excellence and service extends beyond his professional responsibilities, as he actively contributes to not-for-profit and educational initiatives. Randy enjoys golf, sports, traveling, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
